Mike and Sally’s hospitality is top tier! Great Brisket, Great Ribs, Mags & Cheese and you gotta try the housemade potatoe salad. It’s worth the drive! We will be back for desserts, that’s a promise!!
I’m a born and bred Texan that knows well the difference between BBQ done right and others. Mythic is a stand out gem. The pit-master doesn’t take half-measures and the results show through. Great environment, friendly staff and, most importantly, high-quality BBQ a proud Texan can support. Give them a try!
We had been searching for some great food in Marble Falls and found it!! This place has moist brisket, amazing pulled pork and the Mac-n-cheese with brisket was delicious! Am usually disappointed with how sweet the BBQ sauces are at most places but the sauce at Mythic was perfectly peppered with a touch of sweetness! The Owners personality was genuinely kind, felt like family.
We come by here from time to time when we’re in the area and have always been impressed! This time we got the breakfast tacos, and they couldn’t have been better! The owners are such kind people, and the location is a perfect addition to the area. Highly recommend the mac and cheese, and the sauce is one of my favorites in central Texas! Can’t wait for them to sell it online :)
Hands down the best barbecue within 30 minutes of Marble Falls, and very worth making trip out (or becoming a regular)! Fantastic meats, generous portions, good prices, and VERY good sides (highly recommend the chipotle slaw). They definitely know what they're doing and I'll be back every time I'm in town!
We read about Sally and Mike’s place in Texas Monthly and decided it was time to take a trip to Marble Falls and check it out. It was worth the hour drive. It’s actually in Cottonwood Shores just down the road from the dam. We ordered the brisket and spare ribs with potato salad and cole slaw sides. The brisket was tender and flavorful, the rib meat fell off the bone in juicy chunks. Neither needed the home made sauce to be delicious, but I dipped the meat into it just because it was so good. The cabbage in the slaw retained its crispiness because it was not heavily dressed and was acidic enough to counter the richness of the meat. The potato salad with flecks of dill and small chunks of tater in with the creamy background had the perfect texture topped with a bite of the pickle spear that comes with the plate. Sassy Sally and Gentle Mike were wonderful hosts as they greeted and served us. When there was a lull, they came out to the dining area to visit with us. The venue is pleasant, set in a structure of containers in a park like setting with lawn and oak trees. It was a lovely day for our excursion. I recommend!
Awesome place. Great atmosphere. The brisket sandwich was really good. Loved the sauce. Was a great destination for a lunchtime motorcycle ride away from the city. Will be making this a regular riding destination.
Hands down the best BBQ in the Hill Country! You have to get here and experience the perfection. Deep flavors, southern kitchen inspired sides. Amazing service, and a delightful atmosphere. Shaded playground for the kids, lots of sitting areas for lazy enjoyment, and even pickle ball courts.
